Theme Weekends & Competitions

The 2023 Tennessee Renaissance Festival has concluded. The 2024 TNRF will be open on May 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 25th, 26th, 27th.

The festival's hours of operation are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Every TNRF presents themed weekends, costume showcases and competitions everyone will enjoy.


2023 TNRF Theme Weekends


Viking Victory
May 6th and 7th: Dress as your favorite Viking and prepare for your next siege. Odin will be pleased.  

Fantasy and Folklore
May 13th and 14th: Enter the realm of hobbits, fairies, dragons and giants. Experience the adventure in person appearing as the main character in your fantasy world.

Pirate Plunder
May 20th and 21st: The hills will be swarming with rascals and rogues as a crew of scuvry pirates invade our shire of Covington Glen. See the swashbuckling and sword-brandishing of pirates galore.

Celtic Celebration
May 27th, 28th and 29th: Join us as we add a Celtic flair to the Faire. Enjoy the fun as we honor those early Britons - men, wear your kilts!


2023 TNRF Daily Events & Competitions


Costume Showcase
Costume showcases will be held at 3:00 p.m. every day of the festival at the Hammerbeam Inn, where you can proudly display your creative garb and character. Remember to run through our dress code and weapons policy on our FAQ page before suiting up!

Queen's Quest
The Queen's Quest is a daily scavenger hunt requiring savvy detectives to search the festival grounds for hidden shields bearing the symbols of her theme weekends. The quest entails spotting these crests and marking their location on your festival map. Return your completed map to the ticket booth and receive a royal reward! Fairy Habitat & Hobbit House Competition
May 13th and 14th: Put your creativity on full display  at the Fairy Habitat / Hobbit House Contest. Judging will begin each day at 3:00 p.m. For more information, click here.
